COLD!!! just crazy weather. everything is hard work and nothing works as it should. Frozen water, snow covered grass, frozen stubble turnips. Something must start to go right soon.
Couriers cant get the deliveries out, new 4X4 has had to go back to be repaired, 3 weeks off the road in the very weather it was bought for.
Butchery too busy!! running out of stock as the last push comes this week. i shouldnt complain but i am pretty finished, cant wait til its all over.
Next year can only get better.

Just booked for the Foodies Christmas in Edinburgh 3rd-5th of December. we are doubling up with Fred from L`escargot Bleu, it will be fun.

Cows are settling to the winter routines, we are grazing kale with one group of Dexters, silage with another, and the finishing bullocks are in the barn eating silage at an alarming rate. Jeremy has come in with them, i dont think he will be making beef any time soon. he is team leader and loving the attention.

The sheep are ready for the tups, but we will leave it until the end of the month. Late lambing next year to try and get the best of the weather.

After a good few months of hard work, this is the new, all-singing, all-dancing Sunnyside website. We hope you like it.

We had a caesarian on friday night!! our little Galloway cross coo could not deliver her dexter calf and the only option was the side door. started at 7pm was all done and dusted by 10pm. 2 vets and 3 family members in attendance. a loveley belted dexter bull calf. both are well, pictures will folow
